My Personal Philosophy logo.gif (11137 bytes)
My Personal Philosophy stems from my Christian beliefs (Catholic) which holds Love as the Core of life. My Motto "Ad Lucem", which I translate as "moving into light", could equally mean "moving into life" or "moving into love"

"Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law? Jesus said to him, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself" (Matthew 22)

I see my expertise and learnings as mere tools to support this love view and so help myself and my clients know and communicate with God in a better manner.

I also appreciate that these same tools may alienate from God when they become other that tools. However Christ had the same experience in the desert when Satan quoted and tried to use Scripture for his own ends. Christ further spoke of this possibility in Luke 13:27 "The owner's labourer went to him and said,"sir, was it not good seed you sowed in your field? If so, where does the darnel come from?" He said to them "some enemy has done this"

Paul describes this brilliantly:

1 Cor 13 Though I command languages both human and angelic - if I speak without love, I am no more than a gong booming or a cymbal clashing. And though I have the power of prophecy, to penetrate all mysteries and knowledge, and though I have all the faith necessary to move mountains - if I am without love, I am nothing. Though I should give away to the poorall that I possess, and even give up my body to be burned - if I am without love, it will do me no good whatever..

Gal 5:13 After all brother you were called to be free, do not use your freedom as an opening for self indulgance, but be servants to one another in love..

Christianity is very much a body-soul approach to life. A Saint is one who lives this combination to the highest level. Christian afterlife is a body-soul existance.

Our purpose here is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind" through a personal relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.

JN 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

From a subjective point of view, sin is the personal choice to reject Christ as the way, the truth and the life. My mission is to facilitate "turn back to the Lord" (conversion) at a mental, emotional and pysical level. To complement the Sacramental work of the Christ's ministers. So everything I put on this site has to be seen in this light. Helping somebody give up cigarettes is opening them up more to the invitation to share in the life of Christ, whether I mention Christ during the session or not ! James puts this in a nutshell: (James 1:17) "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there can be no variation, nor shadow that is caused by change"

When I am challenged over the use of "New Age" in my practice, I always look at the example of Saint Patrick, who converted Ireland to Chrisitianity. His brilliance was that he used the practices he found in Ireland and imbued them with a Christian focus. I use everything I have learned to enhance my life as a Catholic. The more I meet people the more I become aware of the great potential these methods have to enhance Christian practice.
